Our Mission
We support cultural diverse groups, especially those facing multiple disadvantages and marginalisation, including elders, migrant and long-term unemployed women, and children living in poverty to integrate into neighbourhoods, learn skills, and build a sense of self-worth and independence.
Our fabric and textile manufacturing courses run alongside our social enterprise, FabricWorks, bringing together the need for professional training opportunities with the growth in ethical fashion production.
Tower Hamlets has the highest level of child poverty in the UK.
Our KidsPlayscheme runs summer holiday activities for children living in one of the most disadvantaged areas in the country.
Our Elders group meets once a week to explore the borough’s rich cultural heritage through arts and crafts.
Rates of female worklessness among Pakistani and Bangladeshi women in Tower Hamlets were at 78% in 2017, significantly worse than any other ethnic group.
FABRICWORKS
Our social enterprise runs courses for long-term unemployed women to build skills and gain experience, with an opportunity to make for London’s top brands.
