Fabric works
An ethical fashion design and production studio, an education and training hub, a social enterprise
What is FabricWorks?
FabricWorks is the training, production and social enterprise arm of Stitches in Time. At once an innovative and ethical professional manufacturing service for designers and companies who care about who makes their products and a training and career development program providing skill-based instruction to long-term unemployed and disadvantaged women. Teaching professional manufacturing skills to an industry level, graduates of our courses are supported into employment, whether it’s by workshops on applying for jobs, fulfilling paid commissions for designers such as Birdsong, Miss Crouton and Accessorise as part of our FabricWorks production team, or progressing on to further education or work placements with one of our industry partners. FabricWorks aims to support marginalised and disadvantaged women into employment by overturning stereotypes, creating role models, and creating pathways.
