Battle of Cable Street Banner

This epic 5m visual frenzy is the result of our summer protest project with some amazing and opinionated local young people.

Asking them to respond to the Battle of Cable Street mural and the question “what would you say NO! to on your street?” the piece uses spray paint, collage and textile pieces #noplaceforhate

The final creation will be on display at the Brady Arts Centre to mark the 85th anniversary of the Battle of Cable Street.

 The By You Tapestry

During the Covid-19 pandemic lockdowns we asked people to embroider their experience of isolation. Stitching the story of their daily life during the coronavirus pandemic over 100 submissions came in from across the globe. These are being joined together into a giant, historic textile and will be exhibited and celebrated when we can all be together safely.
